Let Him Not Sink by Samir Parikh and Kamna Chhibber | Book Review

Summary:

Identification and early treatment of mental health illnesses in children are the first steps to their future well-being.

Let Him Not Sink: First Steps to Mental Health has been written by us to enhance the knowledge of adults working with children in relation to mental health conditions. Working as mental health professionals has repeatedly highlighted for us the necessity and requirement of easy-to-implement steps that facilitate the process of identification of an illness in children and adolescents and ways to work on it. It is the lack of information and guidance that is often the cause of conditions going unrecognized, lack of timely help being provided and an inability for an adult to reach out to a child at risk. To be informed is to be empowered and that is the aim towards which this book is directed.

Let Him Not Sink First Steps to Mental Health is a manual for adults who work closely with children. I have had this on my shelf since it came out. I've been meaning to read it for a long time. It was finally time. I trust the inner voice in these things. This book caught my attention because the topic of strong mental health is instrumental in not just achieving your goals, but overall happiness. I found this to be an interesting and informative book. It answered alot of my questions about how to approach mental health and I liked the length of it. It provides a well structured & thoughtful explanation of mental health, helping to dispel any myths about it. This was very enlightening and it connected a lot of dots for me based on what I have seen throughout my years of watching people’s thought patterns and then seeing how their health turns out for them.

This book will change your life if you suffer from eating disorder, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, etc. It is written with such compassion and love. It helps to make sense of what might be happening to us and their causes. If you are looking for a book with some good tips, advice and information then give this one a try. Thank you so much to the authors for bringing this powerful information, and in very detailed exercises which are easy to follow and tools which are easy to use. This book should be beneficial to everyone on one level or an other.
