Living a Healthy Lifestyle

I feel like, at the beginning of 2019, I really found my through when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle and I plan to continue to do that. These are the mantras that I keep in mind every single day of my life even when I'm in splurging kind of moment. It still keeps me on track to where I don't go completely out of control.

Eating clean

The first that really stands out to me when I think of being healthy is food. I try to eat home-cooked meals on a regular basis. Cutting down processed junk food is a really important healthy diet.

Hydrate

Hydration is the key not only does it keep your body hydrated but you also get energy and it helps your body stay and flow and flushing out all the toxins that are in your body. Drink half of your body weight(pounds) in ounces per day.

Prioritize & Plan

Workout, "me" time, work, whatever it is that you need to do that day having a schedule and actually planning it out will definitely make your life easier. I think for me it's more of a mental thing like you committed to doing this to get off the bed and get to it. Start slow, progress gradually and then excel.

Regular Activity

This is something that I struggled with in the past because I always have the excuse of I don't have enough time you know if there's more time during the day when I can work out. I found it more effective working out super hard intense for 15 to 20 minutes every day or every other day. In this way working out doesn't seem as of a burden because that's how I used to feel. It doesn't necessarily have to be a workout it can be a nice long walk whatever it is to keep your body moving.

Detoxification

This is probably the most difficult for me personally, jealousy/sadness/envy those are all really unhealthy qualities to live in. And just living in the social media era that we are in right now in which we always being bombarded with picture-perfect relationships or picture-perfect women or men or whoever, it is really hard to not get into that unhealthy lifestyle. Last year I actually started unfollowing people who made me feel bad about myself and that's just something mentally I needed to do.
